Thought I’d loop back. It’s not the Contax CY 35mm (also a great lens), this one came out of a Yashica T3 or T4 I think, when they were working with Contax. It’s a small teaser with a quite steep ray angle, so it was made for 35mm, but it behaves as poorly as almost any film lens I’ve ever seen.

Purchased the patted lens, I assume the camera was dead and someone tore it out. I bought it cheap when they got tired of messing with it. Drilled a whole in a plastic M body cap, it could be mounted about 1mm further out for more close focus range but haven’t felt like messing with it again. So it’s a fixed 35mm f/3.5 with no aperture control and so-so close focus. And it looks pretty terrible at the borders on FX. But it’s probably the most fun I’ve had on the Zfc.

Taken with the Z6II & 40/2 to fit the thread!

Thanks. I guess that's why those are still pricey & popular film cameras. It's a tricky lens though, definitely effected by to cover glass to the point it's not really useable on full frame, but the worst of it is hidden on APS-C.

I’m still iffy on the Zfc, but tried the transplanted Contax Yashica T3/T4 35mm f/3.5 Tessa’s today and it made for a fun little camera.

Nice rendering on these.

I did not know it does not quite cover full frame. I loved my Planar 50/f1.4, which got broken. I keep saying I will buy another one, but there are many other lenses I want to try, and now, it is harder to find. Oh well.

Some from a few months ago already. Time is flying a bit too fast now.
