Z9 images from around Sydney on a drop dead gorgeous summer's day with various lenses to see how the Z9 fares with some non birding images. However, the first image is a bird from out of Sydney. I just cannot get over the amount of detail and great Image Quality these Z lenses give us.

1) Southern Emu Wren

Z9 + 500 f5.6 PF, 1/800s f/5.6 at 500.0mm iso280

2) Ballast Park, Balmain, Sydney.

Z9 + Z 14-24 f2.8S, 1/200s f/9.0 at 14.0mm iso64

3) Mort Bay looking south east towards Balmain East.

Z9 + Z 24-70f2.8S, 1/500s f/8.0 at 70.0mm iso72

4) Mort Bay looking south east towards Balmain East. I think this is the first time I have ever shot the 50 f1.2 at f8! . Zoomed in at 100% this lens has amazing detailedge to edge.

Z9 + 50 f1.2S, 1/500s f/8.0 at 50.0mm iso80

5) Bollard

Z9 + 50 f1.2S, 1/16000s f/1.4 at 50.0mm iso64

6) Darling Harbour looking east towards the new Barrangaroo Crown Casino - the tall building.

Z9 + 24-70 f2.8S, 1/800s f/8.0 at 30.0mm iso160

7) Balmain East Ferry Wharf looking east towards the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Z9 + 24-70 f2.8S, 1/320s f/9.0 at 36.0mm iso80

Lance, Thanks for sharing a great set. So much details in the image that I feel like I am almost there. Choice of where the focus is placed for each shot for each aperture setting is right on, squeezing out every bit of detail without getting hit by diffraction. Something, I still struggle. By the way, I did not realize Z9 can shoot at 1/16000. 50/1.2 shot at 1.4 in a bright high contrast setup showcases what you can do with such high shutter speed combined with a modern 1.2 lens. . Just love the rendering.

Luka

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment and for your kind words, Luka. Much appreciated!

The Z9 can actually shoot up to 1/32000sec! In our bright sunshine here in Oz, we need hogh shutter speeds with fast lenses like the 5 f1.2 or the 58 f0.95.
