I'm not a birder but this shot is making me believe that the 70-200 and 2x is a very viable option and would easily replace my Tamron 70-180 and Sony 100-400 in the bag. Save a ton of weight compared to those two.
Gonna try one out this weekend and see how it compares to the comparatively spelt 70-180
