Agree on that for sure. My point was that Duncan posting the images was not inappropriate in the way, and with the intent that he did it.
When he posted those beautiful images, I almost replied “It’s a trap!”.
As I say, they are great images but be up front and open rather than hide what the purpose of your post is. It makes it look like you do want to trap people which is very nefarious and smacks of insecurity.
So I posted some bif images taken with a 100-400 to further illustrate the posters point that a 100-400 zoom is a great birding lens and you guys think it's a trap of some kind ?

I don't do social media.
Just post the camera and lens used. I always do.
We know nothing about the images posted, whether they were shot on a 100-400 or a 200-600 or a prime or whatever. All we got were some images and nothing else, so explanation as to what it was all about.
