Here is the 35/1.4 and 85/1.4 DG DN lenses next to each other. Both are huge bowls and take up as much room as a lens, so they basically double the size of the lens if you can't carry them mounted to each other. My backpack and shoulder bag are too small to carry the lenses with hoods mounted so I have to remove the hood and store it in place of another lens.
Here are the 85/1.4, 35/1.4 and 24/2 DG DN lenses.
- 85mm with Haoge 77mm square hood is smaller than the 35/1.4 without any hood at all!
- 24/2 is about the size of 85/1.4 without hood.
- 35/1.4 DG DN is the largest prime lens I've ever personally used. It wouldn't be so bad if it was 2-3 cm shorter at least.
