Crepuscular rays in the Blue Ridge Mountains


I've been finishing up an autumn shoot in the Blue Ridge region of North Carolina and on one of my last days there I was treated to some of the most mesmerizing crepuscular rays I've witnessed. I was at 6,053 ft elevation when the sunbeam show started developing in late afternoon and kept getting better and better, and was punctuated at sunset when the rays turned pink. I stitched several frames to make the pano, and the second image was converted to black & white in Lightroom.
