personally its a little different looking through the eyepiece and shooting and not getting said blackout. the addition of the available "hey you took a shot indicators" is a plus for me. especially in the either "quite zone" or "so loud my ear protection is just barely working". sight and controllable sound output indication.
2 separate visual data paths.
