saaktham......As long as you are on flat water they are very stable and insure your gear before you go out. The yak I use is more for flat water and has a very comfortable removable seat....much like a lawn chair.
Ha !! I don't own a kayak so I tried a couple of my friend's out in my pool and ended up using a cheap 9.5 ft pelican. The lagoon I was in is very, very calm so little to no chance of tipping over. Very uncomfortable though just sitting for hours at a time.
Gary......different brands have removable seats that are very comfortable. Native watercraft is a brand that I have. Craigslist is a good place to find used yaks at a more reasonable price.
