Re: New Z9 Specs (NR) Aug 10th, 2021

How long will it take for us wildlife photographers to get our hands on the first long S glass?

The only basis I have for forming an opinion on when the long S glass shows, is my experiences with Nikon over many years.

I do not expect Nikon to jump to the task for us wildlife photogs and prioritize t the 200-600 or any of the other long glass. They always do what they want and they can be annoying.

You all know that by now.

Through the decades I feel that Canon was much more accomodating to us wildlife photographers.

Nikon can be so abstract with their promo imagery, to be absurd. Ok, you can show me some examples of Nikon promoting with wildlife images, but I’ll show many more of the ridiculous abstract promo imagery.

Who can forget that outrageous all-white scene of woman standing next to a stuff lion? All elements of the scene were super-white. When you add the white stuffed lion, the image for me.......is sick! What is wrong with you Nikon? I am serious! There, I said exactly how i have felt for decades!

Canon has always been out front promoting their stuff with wildlife images.

Again, I am only guessing on the roadmap sequence.

I don’t think we will see one single long S lens until well into the roadmap devleopment..

Show the forum I was incorrect Nikon.
