Tripod Mounted@ F11. Zone focus with screen confirmation, if I remember correctly. I was trying out the R lens to see if it worked.
Thank you Andrew.
This is a shot from 2012 of a Leica M9 Digital Camera with the Leica-R 280/4 APO lens.
I used the Sony NEX-5N APS-C camera to focus the lens.
Then replace camera and adapter with the M9 and another adapter.
Amazingly to me the lens was still in focus as the image shows.
This was the origin of my question to you.
I also own the Leica Vario-Elmarit-R 28-90mm/F2.8-4.5 E67 ASPH Lens.
But it does not result in sharp images with a Sony FF camera.
Sony ILCE-7R + Leica-R 28-90. I need to have it serviced, but where?
With kind regards, Kar-Heinz.
Well, I probably spoke in haste.
Here is an old image from 2015.
Sony ILCE-7R + Leica 28-90/2.8-4.5 Vario-Elmarit-R ASPH.
To check the sharpness of my lens I took a shot of a wood panel.
Sony ILCE-1 + TAP + Leica 28-90/2.8-4.5 Vario-Elmarit-R ASPH. @ f/8.
Now a landscape shot at half resolution, handheld.
Sony ILCE-1 + Leica 28-90/2.8-4.5 Vario-Elmarit-R ASPH. @ f5.6.
