It did not come with any type of lens cap, so I bought an Op-Tech "Hat" that works great when the lens hood is on. I also bought a replacement foot from Henjar that works perfectly but with it you are not able to reverse the lens hood. Has anyone found a lens cap that can be used on the lens without the lens hood being attached? I realize that Nikon has one but with the $$ exchange, I don't plan on buying it Many thanks for your help

Welcome to the club (I had to leave it a few days ago). I loved the 200 f/2 - it produced wonderful images. But, I got bit by the bird photography lust, and bought a 500 f/4, and so I didn't have room in my apartment and my life for 2 beasts, and had to sell the 200. The lens had the Aquatec cap which worked with or without the hood.

Recently sold to someone you may be to ask about the brand name of the cap it came with. This is a lens cap that worked with or without the hood in place. Unfortunately, I do not remember the brand. I will PM you the name of the buyer of my 200 and maybe you can ask him.
