I see it the same way.
After the few examples I've seen of the 50mm GM, I think it's a fantastic lens and I've never said something like this so quickly, I'm usually extremely critical ...
I really like the look of the first pictures.
I don't care at all whether the edges drop off a bit. I just wanted to say that I noticed this and that I consider the sharpness of the 50mm f1.4 to be more homogeneous based on these first images. In this forum you usually devote yourself to the details.
Anyway, I like the GM very much and I will pre-order it. Also something I've never done before.
