A portrait I shot of Madison Rowley, 2 time World Beard and Mustache Championships overall winner. Shortly after this photo shoot he shaved the beard off, after growing it for six and a half years.
Shot using a mixture of natural and artificial light (window to camera left, constant ring light to camera right). Initially I was planning to use only window lighting, however the hair stylist brought a ring light with her and offered to let me use it. I decided to still use the window for the main light, and use the ring light with a gold filter to make the lighting a little more interesting.
Shot using the original Canon 5D with a Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens attached, set to f/3.2, 1/100th sec, ISO 640.
