Yes, it's ability to suppress flare is remarkable, and was a key reason for me to switch to it as my main landscape lens.
However, I have a feeling it might be a little prone to producing sensor reflections sometimes when shooting into the sun. I'm not 100% sure yet. Maybe it just seems to be so because it can handle flare so well that I'm testing it in tougher conditoins than I did say with the Sigma 14-24 DN. Unfortunately I don't have my Sigma anymore to do a side-by-side comparison.
Here's an example A7r4 crop of what I think may be sensor reflections with the GM at 21mm/F14 (scaled to 50%, shadows pushed):
