If you've ever handled one of these bags you'd know they feel very well made of high quality materials, nicer and more sophisticated than your average Lowepro or generic camera bag. Value is in the eye of the beholder. I have a decade-old Thinktank bag that still looks and feels great despite a ton of use. My only issue with the Retrospective series is that the strap is not easily removed, as I prefer to use an aftermarket strap for higher comfort (Tom Bihn brand shoulder strap).
