I have 3 tripods, 20 year old plus Gitzo Reporter Studex, A Gitzo G320 and a Giottos MT470 Pro Series Carbon Fiber tripod. The G320 is a heavy tripod and is even heavier with the Manfrotto Pro 469RC Ball head and Wimberley Sidekick on it. I use this only for my D810 with the grip on it and my 200-400/4G VR II and it makes for a heavy load to hump around over the shoulder but it is rock steady. The Giottos MT470 is used for landscape photography and the smaller 4 section Gitzo Reporter Studex is basically for travel when necessary. I need to get 2 lighter weight CF tripods as I can't drag these set ups around as easily as I use to 20 years ago.
