I’ve had both. I did sell my 105e when I got the 85s. But I only own Z bodies, now.
I didn’t end up keeping the “better lens”. I kept the better “every day lens”
I decided to go with the best lens for me, right now. And that is the lighter, faster focusing lens, which happens to balance much better on the Z’s and be a more comfortable and more versatile focal length (for me).
I have owned the 105 a few times and it will already be a legend to me. Until I get a 85 1.2 or 85 1.4 or 50 1.2 S - I’ll miss the 105.
