Nope. The lens vignettes VERY hard at 24mm because it assumes there will be strong corrections applied. Canon is just copying Sony in regards to "faking" the wide end in order to simplify the lens or make it smaller.
I just downloaded the DPR samples at 24mm and they have the same hard vignetting.
What really makes me mad about this nonsense is that Canon is selling people a lens that crops the sensor at 24mm. You are not using a FF lens at 24mm, and I think not making that fact very clear is very dishonest. Consumers won't care, but it's a dirty trick, especially for a company we all know can produce some incredible optical designs that do not crop the sensor at certain focal lengths.
