I believe Tim ( don't know his login name off the top of my head ) mentioned that the 300 2.8 lens is the most used lens in sports.
Basketball mostly maybe Volleyball as well. But there 400 would be great for most other venues. But the real key to all of this for the Olympics is there staging area and where it really is to the action. They section shooters off so a lot will depend on distance that’s not moveable . Hell I’ll take a 300 2.8 in a heart beat myself or a 200 F2 in crop mode. I really need either one. The 70-200 is not cutting the mustard for me at least. Actually don’t like it.
