Indeed, Lux-R 80 is a very unique lens and many comments were written about this Mandler's fave on this forum. This lens changes its character as you need it. Wide open, against bright background it produces soft images without losing much details, so ideal for portraiture. Stopped down to f/5.6 - f/8 and it's sharp as a tack with great, vibrant colours. I hunted down my immaculate copy about 6 years ago, and it's definitely a keeper.
