I've been following this and the CV 40 threads with interest, and I'm now patiently waiting for the 40 to catch up on production.
My question is: were people *expecting* these lenses to be this good? As an intermediate to advanced hobbyist, having lenses that of this high a quality, at these prices, are borderline unbelievable.
Well Cosina have made some real winners lately so not totally surprised but I did not think this 21 would compare this well against the Loxia 21 and 25. I think if your out looking at 21 mm lenses which would be CV, Loxia , Tokina Firings 20mm and even throw in the Batis 18 plus zooms than given what we are seeing it’s worth considering no question. I happen to like CV lenses mechanically with knurled focus rings and aperture rings out front. I have the 15,21,50 and thinking about the 35 classic for my travel kit.
