Even tough I have not yet started to shoot with Nikon gear (it’s on the way), I will watch closely what this 500mm f/5.6 can do, as I prefer to avoid TCs. I assume it will be cheaper than the Sigma 500mm f/4, which I see as the next 'reasonably' priced option for the 500mm FL.
