Like cputeq, I've been enjoying looking through the fabulous images on this thread. I know that there is huge skill involved with getting images of this quality but I am wondering about adding the 200-500 to my lenses so that I can start working towards that skill. So, I have a question:
200mm is quite long, especially on an APSC camera like a D7200 or D500. If you want the capacity to shoot closer subjects (e.g. if you were on a safari and animals were coming right up to your jeep), how would you 'pair-up' a lens to cover the 50-200mm range? I am assuming that you would be using a second camera with the other lens. Interested in what combinations people use int he field.
Thanks.
