As I stated earlier it's not possible to "lie" about DR because the figure depends on a completely arbitrary cut-off point for the noise floor, depending on where you consider the noise to start dominating, what resolution you normalise to etc. For every cut-off point there is a corresponding DR figure. Since Sony have not shared which cut-off point they used to obtain their figure it is both completely plausible, and completely meaningless.

Sensor design plays no role in diffraction it is an entirely optical phenomenon, the only thing sensor design influences is your ability to detect diffraction. Wavelength plays a role I generally use the values for green light as a suitable approximation.
