Hi, gang. Here a few shots (from a recent Northern California trip) of a very interesting structure in the community of Sea Ranch.

It's a nondenominational chapel that was designed by San Diego architect James Hubbell and constructed by local artisans in the 1980's. The building's lines and its combination of cedar, teak, stone, brass, copper and stained glass elements are unusual and very eye-catching.

Unfortunately, as you can see in the third photo, plywood has been placed in two sections of the front door where stained glass used to be. In May, someone broke the glass, entered the chapel after hours and made off with the collection box. Very bad karma, to be sure. The foundation that operates the chapel is raising funds to replace the stained glass.
