Re: Mustang Air to Air: The Sequel

I'll bet that was incredible. I've been certified since high school. We used to ice dive in the quarries around Illinois and Indiana. Tie a rope to your bumper and saw a hole in the ice, I'm thinking that I'm out on that now Although, I might do it in the Antarctic or somewhere that you could see some really cool things.

I've been talking with Ikelite and Nauticam over the past few days. Seems to be a huge disparity in prices and I'm trying to determine why. I've used Ikelite products over the years and they've always been great. The current Ikelite 5DSR outfit, including the dome for a 16-35 III Canon lens is just a little over two grand. A comparable Nauticam outfit is $5,500. I don't mind spending the bucks, just rating to figure out the best product. I'm thinking you buy one of these for life, or until the camera body changes so drastically it no longer functions, so It doesn't spook me to invest in the Nauticam if that's the best choice. Guess I need to go talk with a serious U/W shooter and get their impressions. Experience tells me that the difference has to represent some substantial improvement in quality/features/ergonomics, but I haven't found that yet.
