The older Contax zoom lens holds its own, i would say. Surprise, surprise. Are you going to replace yours? Maybe there is something not quite right with your first copy... Who knows.
Fred, a more apple to apple comparison would be the GM vs. Canon Mark II. Both lenses have the same FL and aperture range.
