Great photos here! I suspect the reason many look for alternatives to the 35 f/1.4G is the price and because of the popularity of the Sigma. I tried a few copies of the Sigma 35 Art and both had inconsistent AF.
I ended up going with the Tamron 35mm f/1.8 VC, which seems to be a good mix of accurate AF, rendering, build quality, weight, relatively fast aperture, VC and close focusing (great for detail shots during events).
