Seems weird to me to create a lens with this awesome FL and design it for DX only.

the Nikon 58mm 1.4 G weighs 0.84 lbs
the Nikon 24-70 2.8 G ED VR 2.35 lbs
So both of these lens combined would be lighter than the Sigma 50-100.
The whole crop lens thing is just weird to me. If it\'s only for a crop, why not just market the lens at what the frame of view will really be.
I really wish Sigma would have spent the time and energy that they used on this lens, to make a 135mm f1.8 Art lens (for FX/DX).
Sigma likes to put a bag of bricks in their lenses. So maybe I probably wouldn\'t buy it anyhow.

So for the n00bs, this lens will not work on a Full Frame body. Only croppers.
