First and most importantly, the AF does not work. It needs to be sent in for repair. Likely a new AF motor. Not sure what repair would be...but I'm assuming a few hundred bucks. Manual focus isn't useful, it focuses to a point and then the internals stop moving.
The lens is in 8/10 shape otherwise, it was my workhorse for several years. The glass is clean, but the body shows signs of moderate use, and there are a few bits of internal dust. I no longer have use for a large heavy professional mid-zoom, so haven't had it repaired. I figure better to let it move on to a new owner who will have it fixed and put it to another decade of use.
