Icy Whitemouth Falls

Whitemouth Falls is one of my favourite places to photograph. I have photographed this area numerous times but this was the first time with ice and snow. The last bit of winter still hanging on. Still without a camera and the possibility of aurora later in the night I decided to borrow a friend\'s 5DII and 17-40 lens to get some quality images. I got there just in time to capture a sunset. Though my main goal was to shoot aurora getting a nice sunset would be sufficient. Luckily, there was a brief moment of superb colour. Unfortunately the aurora was not happening but I did not leave empty handed.

2 image blend for focus.
