Thanks Gregg . . . I\'ll give it a try. I wonder if the lens can be set to f/2.8 while in Macro mode. That would be an added bonus!
Be careful with the Mod. When I did it, I think I inadvertently removed both stops and it allowed the aperture ring to turn far enough that the micro ball bearing (the clicker) popped out and vanished into thin air. I ended up cannibalizing a junky lens to replace the bearing. I ended up putting it back to stock. It has to be the best $50 lens around!
