Nikons most recent email to me about the issue. Do you think it will actually get fixed if I send it in? Or they will just say they checked it out and it seems fine, and I then wasted money on shipping it to them?

\"Thank you for contacting Nikon. It is a pleasure to be able to assist you today. The issue that you are having is not known to Nikon. I understand that you have read reviews online but this is not a known issue. When there is a known problem with our products, it is usually noticed within the first 30 days of having the product and at that point there will be a service advisory issued. It is recommended to send your product in for service to be evaluated and repaired in order to resolve your issue. Below I have provided a link with instructions on how to send your product to one of our service centers.
