Just realize you ask here as well Hopefully PM answer satisfies you. 35lux is sharper. 80lux will be sharper at distance, but nail focus will be a little challenge at distance. I realize many people buy this lens partially due to my fault given I got many PM about it

I agree that the Lux 35 is sharper than the 80 wide open. Bokeh quality (which I don\'t really care about) is very different, as one might expect for the FLs, the 35 being quite a bit busier.

I recently bought the Lux 50 E60 and Elmarit 19 v2, and those two are quite different between them. The Elmarit v2 (or at least my copy) has bolder contrast. On A7R\'s WTB it seems to tend to be cooler and greener than the 50 E60. The sky and greenery are emphasized.

I was a bit surprised that the 50 E60 seems to match the older 35 and 80 quite well. The color and OOF rendition are smooth and pleasing like the 80.

Just chiming in with some very superficial impressions because I haven\'t had time to shoot seriously lately.
