So you say, but many of us do feel a company needs to earn our business so yes they do owe me, you and everyone otherwise we bitch, complain and move on. I highly doubt canon loves it\'s users buying panasonic and sony cameras so in a sense they want me to owe them my loyalty for their production of great products.
If you want to have loyalty towards a company knock yourself out. I buy Canon products because they work for me and give me the output I want. If they didn\'t, I wouldn\'t be using them.
According to many low ISO DR proponents, they have been waiting for years and years for Canon to give them what they want while the competition has moved forward on the very feature that they so desire. I\'m sorry, but I just don\'t have that kind of patience. I avoided the whole 1D3 fiasco because my 1D2\'s were still producing very fine output but if Canon had not released the 1D4 when they did I was prepared to sell all and move to Nikon.
I just don\'t see the point of continuing to shoot with gear that is not optimized to your #1 photographic priority and given the amount of bitching by some on the forums how could it be any less then their top priority?
To me missed opportunities in getting the shot with the best gear for your type of shooting is far more important then any kind of loyalty you feel towards a company that doesn\'t care about you.
