It does, but it also covers a lot of other things. Peanut gallery generally refers to those (creators, actors, etc.) who already have an audience. Gear forums are mostly just an island that no one outside pays much attention to.
I still think it is just marketing because it says nothing. It goes along the same lines of Canon\'s \"Rebel\" theme, so maybe that is being expanded or something like that. If it had to be gear, I\'d guess something along those line, like the rebel name being expanded in some way (maybe the next EOS-M camera has \'rebel\' in the name or such.
