Athough I\'ve been shooting my c/y Zeiss 28mm 2.8 lately, I was going back through some of my shots with the Nikon. Granted there hasn\'t been much interesting to shoot with the Zeiss, but I\'m still impressed with the Nikon.
All the talk about the Nikon not being that good at infinity.....it seems pretty darn good to me. The sharpness rolls off towards the edges, but not dramatically. Maybe a little dip at the thirds. It would be great if the whole frame was as sharp as dead center of course.

From the samples it looks like the AF-S would be sharper no doubt, but I\'m still impressed by the old AI-s. Maybe one day I\'ll pick it up. Although I\'ll probably at least hold off to see how the Sony G version looks. (And maybe by then there will be other options.)
