If I\'ve understood it correctly the Laws of Physics, dictates there can be no perfect lens, so, it\'s down to the lens designer to maximise/minimise the aberrations to \'taste\' and latterly factor in the lift from software correction.

+1. Too many forums are \'weather vanes\' rather than \'signposts\'. Happily though, with enough real world use a general consensus is reached on a lens performance.
