I think the A7 are capable of shooting many different scenes (like Action) excellently as long as you understand how to use it and just shoot..
Less talk of AF that and AF this and more shooting i say, not that i think anyone in this thread do the talking
I agree, I\'ve been very pleasantly surprised at how well the A7 does with C-AF. I\'d say its pretty much on par with the XT1 I had previously. Its not going to replace my D3s by any means, but it delivers a pretty acceptable \"keeper\" rate for casual shooting. You\'ll likely get some shots OOF for sure, but just shoot a bunch, so even if you\'ve got a 50% hit rate, take 10 frames and you have at least 5 in focus.
I certainly didn\'t buy the camera for action of any sorts, but its nice to be able to get some shots of the kids or dog running around.
Furthermore, as I\'m going on vacation in a week, and figured having an AF zoom would be handy for when other family members may take some shots with the camera, picked up the FE 28-70 for $250. I again wasn\'t expecting much but its a pretty darn nice little lens.
Its super light weight, and though plastic, feels pretty solid. Also nice is that the lens barrel only extends about 10mm so it basically keeps its length. I thought it was going to be like the Fuji 18-55 where i really nearly doubles it length (which I hate)
Decent optics too, plus OSS which can come in handy. Pair it with the A7 C-AF and its gets the job done.
Was testing it with the dog running around in the back yard and got about 75% of shots in focus. Pretty darn pleased with both.
