The issue you having with the concentric circles I have seen, also with the 5DII, M9, M-M, M240 but not yet with the A7r, and WA\'s(35 and below) It is always is in the sky, with WA\'s and I suspect it is a posterization issue, where there may not be sufficient data in channels to correctly interpolate. It may well be an issue under certain conditions with LR/CS6 software. I think if you search, there are whole threads on this topic. Usually I find the 16 bit Tiffs are fine, but then when downsizing 8 bit Jpegs is where the problem shows, where the sky has been pushed. I suspect it depends on your exposure, and how much data there is available later to push later in PP\'ing
Another interesting observation with seascapes, it seem to be worse when the sun is behind you, and usually about mid morning or mid afternoon.
