I tested it both handheld as well as tripod mounted. I focusing both using the magnified live view on the LCD and magnfied view and focus peaking through the EVF. They were easy to focusing using both methods. The focus peaking worked very well, better than I had expected, nearly as accurate using the magnified view. Also I have tried the camera both with and without the grip. For handheld work the grip is a necessity (at least for me) using the longer ZE lenses. It is not really necessary for tripod stuff.
