Ted, this is a bald eagle and they dont get their white head until they are about 5 years old. I stated that it was a juvie but didint mean that its a first year baby although it looks like a yearling. Could be a second year bird.
As with most raptors there is sexual dimorphism and with eagles it can be pretty large.
When seen in real life, her large head and overall size is a giveaway that its a female.

I will agree with all but.... unless you have two of the same side by side there is no way to tell the sex.
