SingleSilent mode is first, then normal mode (High Speed Continuous). It\'s basically just doing the whole motion slower. I use it sometimes during weddings. I think it helps a little bit. I\'d say the sound in Silent mode is softer, and not as high pitched. But Silent... ehee..
