Making the camera interchangeable lens is easy enough but an interchangeable lens camera needs lenses for it as well. Look at how much time it has taken Sony to finally start putting together a somewhat decent lens lineup for its APS-C NEX system. Whats the point of launching yet another system without lenses. I am sure they must be working on an interchangeable lens FF NEX. However until the time they are ready to launch a new system with FF lenses, they just whipped together a camera for those who will buy it. Thats how Sony works - \"we have the technology and the sensor in hand so why not\". Plus there are some advantages to a fixed lens design as others have pointed out.


Go read theSuede\'s explanation of lens size. If we do see a FF Nex, it\'ll likely be to adapt a-mount lenses.
