Thanks for the kind words Gary, Charles, Andrew. Much appreciated!
Charles, the Nocti is magical for these type of shots! Beautiful, dreamy and classic looking. Make sure you make an archival print of it for her parents!
Gary, excellent set with the CV35 II. This lens seems to have it all, creamy rendering wide open on that last shot and tack sharp stopped down.
Adam, as to your lens choices, what is your favorite focal length? I ask because I think personally I would first choose a focal length that I\'m comfortable shooting as a one lens kit first then pair a second lens to that combination. To most M shooters, I would say 35 or 50 would be the first choice, then it depends if you want to go wide or tele on the second lens. Makes sense?
35 + 75 would make a great 2 lens kit, plus the 75 APO allows closer focus (0.7m) for portraits. As to cron vs lux, size vs how often do you use f/1.4? If you don\'t mind the slightly larger size of the Lux, I would go with it as this would provide \"insurance\" when you need low light or shallow DOF. For about the same price as the 75Cron, you could also consider a good used copy of the 75Lux, another magical lens.
28 + 50 would also make a great kit too, especially if you enjoy shooting 50 as your main setup. 50 Cron or Lux? I think 95% of shooters would tell you the Lux if you are looking for perfection but I personally enjoy shooting the 50Crons, smaller, lighter and renders beautifully in a classic way but still sharp enough, although the 50Cron can flare if you need it for technical shots, especially if you use studio flash.
50 + 90 - I\'m not too sure about how often you will use the 90 APO as although its a great lens, it could be kind of limited because its quite difficult to focus wide open. Coupled to the poor high ISO on the M9, it makes it not that practical for low light use.
I would go for the 35/75 pairing, and then I\'m sure at some point you will add a third or fourth lens Good luck

Here\'s a set with the 50CronV5 and 90AA, on our way from Tokyo to Kyoto on the shinkansen. I love shooting in Japan, such as beautiful country and people are generally very polite and helpful. Plus, our hotel in Tokyo was smack in camera central Shinjuku. At night, I\'ll sneak out to Yodabashi camera and fondle with all the D4, D800, 5Ds, X Pro, OM-Ds etc, etc. I was hoping to pick up some gear here but everything is much more expensive than back in the US.
M9 #1 & 5 90AA, 2,3 & 4 50Cron
