Gary, I have had the 90 Elmarit, 90 Cron pre Asph and presently the 90 Cron AA. The two easiest lenses to focus were the 90 Elmarit and the 90 Cron pre Asph. The focus throw on the 90 Cron pre Asph, is a much better design than the later version. I have had my 90 Cron AA calibrated and checked, but it is not as accurate the 90 pre Asph, or the 75 Lux. With respect to rendering, I would definitely err to the 90 Cron pre Asph. Very nice lens IMO. The 90 Elmarit is light, ergonomic and very sharp, but the drawing style did not get with me
