Re: ZE/ZF/ZM Images (Official Thread!)

Gregg, Philippe - thank you!

Gregg - I am enjoying your 50P shots. Tulip shot is revealing the characteristics of 50 very well in comparison to 1.4/35. Especially the change in distance brings out the clarity instantly to the same 1.4 images, which is quite interesting. Portrait of Mason at 2.2 is already quite sharp. Picnic table shot and the shot of Rajah also reveals the even at 1.4, from a mid distance on, it gives much more sharpness compare to close up shot, with the beautiful rendition of space, which I love. I know if my 50P was a z version I would be posting much more 50P shots on this thread.

Picture This! - Amazing shot. Great color and composition. I love the wave pattern on the sand. Beautiful.

Philippe - Thank you for the wonderful comparison. Indeed 25 and 35 seems close to each other compare to 21. Also the first shot reveals how 21mm, IMHO is a bit too wide if the objective is to capture space close to how I perceive it. Also troubling with 21 for this particular shot is the statue on the left is stretched out due to the viewing angle. One characteristic I have hard time embracing. Second shot, 35 seems slightly less contrasty, or tha may be due to 25 exposed a little brighter. I like the rendition of them both. 25 though, seems a little more punchy and \'traditional\' zeissy.

dgjean - Congrats on your new acquisition of fabulous lenses. Beautiful shot. Looking forward to see more work !
