Looming Mt. Tom

Mt. Tom looming over the Owens River in the Eastern Sierra

\"I faced the icons that loomed through the veil of incense\" Fergus M. Bordewich

Mountains are big and your perspective of them can certainly change with a lens. I wanted to make the almost 10k feet from the from viewpoint to the top of the peak to be felt. All of it\'s ridges and gullies are endless, there can\'t be a person who has explored that whole mountain, there is so much nearby that would steal one\'s attention. It\'s speaks about it\'s dominance to it\'s surroundings and fools the viewer into thinking this river you see is fed me (Mt Tom). ~

We shot a couple of different scenes along the Bends of the Owens River in the Eastern Sierra during the last private workshop. Showed them this scene in the middle of the day and they weren\'t too keen on shooting it but when we returned the next morning they seemed to enjoy it a heck of lot more!
