p.1 #1 · X100 - new samples from Spain

I didn't understand every word of this preview of a pre-production camera, but I did glean that they thought the write time (jpg+raw) was slow -- about 5 seconds. Other than that, a quite positive write-up.

Thanks for posting this, those write times certainly aren't impressive but hopefully the production model improves on that. I will say that I'm impressed with whatever noise reduction the camera is doing, the high iso shots seem well detailed with almost no color noise. If they get this camera on the market in early March I might actually be an early adopter for once since I think this would be great for some events I have coming up.

Thanks for posting as well, the camera looks classic and high ISO is pretty acceptable up to ISO6400..

Good high ISO - maybe even slightly better than the X1.
Really looking forward to this camera making it to stores here.

The funny part is where Señor Morán points out he shot loads of RAW files but then realizes there's no program for decoding them (yet), but cheerfully posts a link to three of the images in case "anyone's up for giving it a shot".

They also note, at the end, that they have a commercial agreement to use SanDisk cards, for their site.

They also mention that as a pre production model it came with 0.69 firmware
and not all functions were 100% operational.
Therefore a bit early to come to a final conclusion.

The one complain they have with this "pre-production model"
is that the simultaneous burning of a jpg and raw file on to the SanDisk card Class 10
took 5 seconds, during which it was possible to keep on shooting but not been able to view the shots taken.

Is this for real? Tell me again why I should worry about post processing if I can get JPEG files like this out of the camera at ISO 6400 I suspect that the in-camera processing is very extensive (and not just for noise reduction) and that if we were able to open the raw files, we would find a great deal of effort required just to equal the JPEGs. Possibly the 5 second "write time" is actually "processing time."
