I still have twice as many Canon lenses
Ah yes, but the ratio is certainly decreasing.

Where would be the best way to procure a c/y distagon 21? or should i just get the new ZE.
Yes get the ZE. I can't see any reason to get the c/y when it's that expensive

But I can never reach the same ratio without starting to buy Contax lenses Actually I have looked at a few of those also. The shop in Bangkok that I go to every week when I stay there, always have 5-10 used Contax lenses for sale

If you have a chance to grab them, the Contax 35-70/3.4 & 85/1.4 are excellent lenses. The 25/2.8 is pretty nice too. Slap on a Leitax kit and you are set!

isn't the c/y noticeably smaller? also, i thought from the comparison discussion a while back that there was some area the c/y was slightly better at while the ZE was better wide open?

+1
The 28/2.8 and 50/1.7 are also OK.

I have never used it. But do you think it's noticable smaller including the adapter ?I have been reading that it's 85 grams lighter without the adapter

c/y to eos adapter is pretty minuscule. i've never used either though, i just remember a couple people saying they preferred to stick with the c/y because of the difference.

I think the 35 works well on m4/3. My 50/2.5 is stunning but my 21/4 totally sucks though! Mushy smeared corners... too bad, would have been sweet!

I made a trade recently and am now the owner of a Voigtlander Bessa R2 w/ a Color-Skopar 35mm f/2.5 PII (That's alt right? I could adapt it to M4/3 )
Then recently I picked up a 50mm f/1.5 Nokton locally for a decent price.

Just received a couple enlarger lenses for macro use.
The Rodenstock has a similar to EF registration distance, The Nitto Kogaku 'Kominar-E' 7.5cm has an approximate 20cm larger registration distance.
I had thought they would be close to my OM 21 in size, but are dwarfed by it. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6146/5936342561_9ebedc3ccf_z.jpg

You are right sebboh, it is smaller and lighter. But I believe you run the risk of mirror interference with 5D/5D2 cameras, which is what kept me away anyways. That and it is still seems to be going for as much if not more than the much newer ZE version.

In search of a real WA for NEX I eventually acquired Samyang 14/2.8 after I had given it a try. It's very sharp with minimal CAs and (pronounced) distorsions are not that much seen in street/landscape photography.Protruding front element is not as obtrusive as I used to think. Can also be used on FF/DX Canons with the same very good results,so it's versatile. Will post some pics if find some time.
I have also tried Samyang 35/1.4 and was very pleased with it's excellent IQ/hardly existing CAs and decent built quality.Having ZF 35/2 and C/Y 35/2.8 I don't see much application for another 35mm lens, but it's so tempting to be able to take excellent IQ pic at 35/1.4..Still hesitating-buy it or not.

The Samyang lenses have great IQ but don't you feel they are a little front-heavy an a small and light body like NEX?
